There are a number of groups and societies you can get involved in, either through your school, or through the municipality. Depending on your interests (sports, theatre, art, etc.), you should be able to find a club or group to join. For sports, there may be discounted prices for gym memberships at your school gym, or other gyms close by.
There are many societies and groups in the Netherlands formed by expats interested in similar activities. Ask your friends and the student societies in your school for other suggestions and tips. Keep your ears and eyes open and get involved in your community in order to make the most of your stay in the Netherlands!
